"This Mother Goose Programs course was the most transformative in-service I've ever signed up for. And I've been teaching for over 20 years! Everything is standards-based—so important to our work in the classroom. It's all hands-on and it's something I can take back to share with my colleagues. I can't wait for the next workshop!" — New York educator
"The Red Clover conference is the best professional development opportunity I have all year. Every fall I return to my school full of ideas of how to integrate picture books into everything I do with children." — Vermont school librarian
"This course really opened
my eyes to a variety of techniques to use for math, science and social studies with
young children." -- Philadelphia educator

Are you looking for dynamic, innovative ways to bring math, science and literacy learning to life for educators and librarians? Mother Goose Programs deliver top-quality training and consultation to librarians, educators and other professionals who work with young children. Nine years of intensive research, program design and rigorous evaluation
have proven this.
There are several ways we can help you:
• We offer in-service and workshop sessions for classroom teachers, librarians and early childhood educators/child-care providers. Our sessions are always hands-on, book-based and standards-based. We customize our programs to fit your institution's needs.
• We offer hands-on sessions at state and national conferences. Over the past three years we have presented programs at the American Library Association's annual conferences, the Texas Library Association annual conference and the Vermont Library Conference. Librarians who have worked with us have presented programs at their own state conferences as well.
• We offer keynote addresses at state, regional and national conferences. Executive Director Sally Anderson is a knowledgeable and lively presenter whose past keynote topics include: What Can We Learn, Using Just One Picture Book? (pdf) and Using Picture Books to Integrate Math, Science, Social Studies and Literacy Learning in the Classroom (pdf).

All Mother Goose Programs professional development opportunities include standards-based
investigations and explorations. RMC Research of Denver found that the
materials “reflected best practice, were easy to use, relevant and
current, were substantive and provided both the types of examples and resources
that educators value.” RMC
longitudinal research showed that after educators completed their coursework,
their students demonstrated greater knowledge than their peers in math, science
and literacy tasks. Six to 12 months later, gains in math, science and literacy
were still evident. Let us know if
you’d like a copy of RMC’s report.
Hundreds of educators have already implemented Mother Goose Programs
into their practice. To arrange a course, workshop, in-service, keynote or conference in your area, contact
